Mexican Independence Day Weekend

Gennady “GGG” Golovkin

Saul Canelo Alvarez

Saul Canelo Alvarez was given a 6-month suspension on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for his two positive tests for clenbuterol. Nevada Commission voted unanimously 5-0 to suspend the 27-year-old Golden Boy star for six months.

Canelo’s suspension will end on August 17, 2018. He plans to fight Gennady Golovkin on September 15, 2018. That would be for Mexican Independence Day weekend and possibly the biggest fight in 2018.
